The Technical Head of Program is responsible for all technical aspects of the Food Technology Accelerator Program, which are to be tailored for Brinc’s food tech portfolio companies both during the accelerator program and post-program as ongoing support. These responsibilities include designing and delivering curriculum content for the program, conducting technical due diligence during the startup selection process, and providing technical mentorship to startups selected to be part of the program.

The role will report to the Food Technology Accelerator Program Manager, and have dotted line reporting to the Head of Programs, Greater China.
The Technical Head of Program must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage their time effectively in line with the dynamic schedule of the Food Technology Accelerator Program. This candidate must also be able to communicate effectively with the startups, the rest of the Accelerator team, as well as with external mentors and parties.
Travel is moderate, with the expectation to support global programs and attend Conference abroad when required.
Roles and Responsibilities:

Generate educational and market research material for the Food Technology Accelerator Program
Analyse the technical viability of food tech startups & conduct technical due diligence during the startup selection and Investment Committee process
Mentor food tech startups and assist them with their technical needs
Build Brinc’s network of external technical mentors related to the field of food science
Liaise with external parties including: academics & researchers in the food science, pharmaceutical & biotechnology industries; food production, processing & manufacturing facilities; food licensing & safety authorities; F&B players

Desired Skill and Experience

Skills & Experience:
Excellent interpersonal skills, comfortable interacting across multiple levels of the Brinc organization and liaise with other departments, personnel and external business entities
Ability to read, decipher and summarise scientific and market analysis articles
PhD or MSc degree in Food Science, Nutritional Science, Life Sciences, Biomedical Science, Environmental Science or Chemistry
Prior work experience and familiarity with Food Safety, Nutritional Labelling and Food Product Development
Advanced proficiency in personal computer applications, including Microsoft, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, etc.
