Job Description

Your main duties will be to provide insight and project management support in Vendor Management aspect, but not limited to this.
• As a member of the Vendor Management Office, you are responsible for the day-to-day governance and performance management of all vendors (at least 2), contracts, licensing, audits, and compliance.
• Accountability for developing and maintaining effective partner relationships with strategic technology vendors and ensuring the original goals and expectations of the relationship business case are maximized
• This position will be the single point of contact in the projects management for a subset of our strategic vendors.
• Will act as the principle liaison between the vendor and internal groups including the lines of business and the IT leadership team. This role will manage changes in demand resulting from evolving business strategies.

Desired Skill and Experience

• Will be working in Chengdu
• Good written English, Mandarin is a MUST.
• Over 10 years industrial experience (preferable in Technology sector)
• Minimum with 5 years working experience in solid Vendor Management
• Minimum with 5 years Project Management experience, with PMP/ Prince2 would be an advantage
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in business or IT&T
• The ability to articulate and manage the integration of IT vendors and recommend improvements to quality to ensure a seamless end-to-end delivery model is an important requirement
• Overseeing and tracking performance, maintenance, warranties, compliance and ensure proper management of the contract pipeline
• Ensuring robust performance management around up-time, Issue/Incident, availability, and licensing
• Actively engages with both the internal GIS stakeholders and vendor to understand relationship governance, engagement and authorization processes are fit for purpose and understood.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple vendor partners
• Ability to lead, influence & motivate colleagues/partners
• Prior experience managing IT vendors
• Be familiar with the application development process
• Using the required knowledge of standard technical writing methods, work collaboratively with Subject Matter Experts, Business Representatives, various project teams, working groups in order to prepare related materials clearly and concisely.
• Proactively adds value beyond what is expected to exceed client expectations and maximize value added for client.
• Actively listens to and understands clients’ business, and ensures that services provided meet clients’ needs.
• Establishes, maintains and develops strong relationships with senior client counterparts and client engagement leadership
• Very good communication and technical training and communication skills.
